HICKORY LANE SIRE AND DAM CONNECTIONS SWEEP OHIO SIRES STAKES TWO YEAR OLD FILLY TROT AT RACEWAY PARK

Sunday evening at Raceway Park turned into a Hickory Lane Farm sweep of the Two Year old Filly Trot in Ohio Sires Stakes action when MONA LISA SPUR (Pegasus Spur-Marty E-Armbro Iliad) and ROSE RUN MARCI (Trainforthefuture-Lilyad-Armbro Illiad) each won their respective divisions.

MONA LISA SPUR, a daughter of the Hickory Lane broodmare MARTY E, and mother of multiple stakes winner and Open trotter, REMBRANDT SPUR, 1:52.2f, went first over and put away her challengers in 2:02.3f in capturing the $20,100 first division for owner Roy Davis and trainer-driver Dick Stillings. Congratulations to her connections. Hickory Lane will sell a Valley Victor half brother to MONA LISA SPUR at the Lexington Select Yearling Sale this Fall. Don't miss him!

In the second division, ROSE RUN MARCI made a quarter move, went to the front and never looked back as she took an easy victory in 2:03.1in her $20,100 division for owner-trainer-driver Scott Cox. From limited opportunities, TRAINFORTHEFUTURE has been sensational. Already this season, he has had multiple national season's leaders as well as sire stake winners. Given the opportunity for an increased book, TRAINFORTHEFUTURE would undoubtedly soar to the top as the top trotting sire in Ohio. Hickory Lane is proud to stand this fine stallion for owner Dave Carter and his wife Deborah. Look for more "Train's" at the upcoming yearling sales!
