LOVELY DAWN SCORES IN OHIO SIRES STAKES ACTION AT SCIOTO DOWNS
Last Friday evening LOVELY DAWN (Dawn Ofa New Day-Pansy Little Girl-Ruffstuff Baker) notched her first OSS victory in the 2 year old filly pace with an impressive 1:55.2f effort. It is a new lifetime mark for the freshman filly an places her in the OSS final next Saturday at Northfield Park. SHARP ACTION SETS NEW LIFETIME MARK IN OHIO SIRES STAKES ACTION
SHARP ACTION (Pegasus Spur-Giltedged Action-Speed In Action) trotted to a new lifetime mark in 1:56.4f winning his $19,700.00 Division of Ohio Sires Stakes action at Scioto Downs Saturday evening by 4 1/2 lengths. STAND FOREVER COLTS FINISH ONE-TWO IN OHIO SIRES STAKES ACTION
On Saturday evening at Scioto Downs, STAND FOREVER colts CONTRABAND (Stand Forever-RG Firefly-Slapstick) and STANDING TOUGH (Stand Forever-No Friends Ever-Towner's Big Guy) finished one-two respectively in the $23,400.00 Ohio Sires Stakes for two year old colt and gelding pacers.
CONTRABAND got up at the wire to beat STANDING TOUGH by a head after STANDING TOUGH cut the entire mile after being parked out to the quarter pole. The winning time was 1:55.2f, a new lifetime mark for CONTRABAND. Congratulations go out to Bruce Farquhar, owner and trainer from Paulding, Ohio and to driver, Jeff Nisonger, who gave the colt a terrific drive.

PEGASUS SPUR COLTS POST WINS OVER THE WEEKEND IN THE 2 AND 3 YEAR OLD OHIO SIRE STAKES
Pegasus Spur colts B CONTEMPORARY and AMERICAN PEGASUS scored victories in the 3 and 2 year old Ohio Sires Stakes colt trots, respectively, this weekend with another 3 year old, SHARP ACTION, missing by a whisker from giving PEGASUS SPUR a sweep in the 3 year old colt trot at Scioto Downs Saturday evening.
B CONTEMPORARY (Pegasus Spur-B Over Soon-Overcomer) started things off in dominating fashion whipping his field by 5 lengths in a well-in-hand 1:58.1f mile. Owned by Paul Thiesing and Kimberly Dailey, trained and driven by Jim Dailey, B CONTEMPORARY now has two wins and a second in Sire Stakes action and is assured of making the final. HICKORY LANE bred and sold B CONTEMPORARY as a yearling.
In the second and final split of the OSS 3 year old colt trot at Scioto Saturday evening, another HICKORY LANE FARM bred colt, SHARP ACTION (Pegasus Spur-Giltedged Action-Speed in Action), came from 10 lengths off the pace at the half and just missed by a head finishing second in a fast 1:57.4f for Owner Al Scherler, trainer Jeff Conger and driver, Robin Miller. It looks as if this talented colt has figured things out and will be a force the rest of the year.
Not to be outdone, AMERICAN PEGASUS (Pegasus Spur-Miss Pan American-American Winner) wired his field in his division of the OSS 2 year old colt trot at Raceway Park Sunday evening, trotting his mile in 2:05.2f over a heavy, sloppy track. This is the first career win for AMERICAN PEGASUS. Congratulations to owner, breeder, Robert Key, and to trainer, Jim Arledge, Jr. and driver, Dan Noble on a job well done!

PEGASUS SPUR 3 YEAR OLDS WIN AT THE MEADOWS AND SCIOTO DOWNS
LIMA ECHO (Pegasus Spur-Ecotage-Striking Sahbra) and REMBRANDT SPUR (Pegasus Spur-Marty E-Armbro Illiad) won impressively Wednesday evening capping off another successful day for PEGASUS SPUR. At Scioto Downs, LIMA ECHO gamely fought off her challenger from the three quarter pole on to win in over a sloppy track in 2:02.1f in the Killbuck Mary late closer series for 3 and 4 year old trotters. Congratulations to Greg Buckey, Joe Sbrocco and Tom York, her owners, and to Jim Arledge, Jr., trainer, and Del S. Miller her driver. THREEFOLD PASSES AWAY
Sadly, last Friday, THREEFOLD, age 24, passed away at Hickory Lane Farm of natural causes. The son of Big Towner-Three Diamonds had been a mainstay at Hickory lane for the past 13 years siring numerous Ohio Sire Stakes and Ohio Fair Stakes winners including Ohio Sire Stake Champion, SHUTUPANDKISSME. Sire of winners of 22 million dollars, Threefold sired durable, quality racehorses throughout his siring career. Owned by David James Bloodstock, NY,THREEFOLD will be truly missed by all of us at Hickory Lane.

PEGASUS SPUR's offspring are winning everywhere. On Tuesday, IMA SPUR (Pegasus Spur- Fly Till Dawn- Arnie's Exchange) won a $15,000.00 Conditioned Trot at The Meadow's in a career best 155.3f for owner-trainer, Jeffrey Indof of Pennsylvania. This 5 year old Pegasus Spur is now closing in on $150,000.00 in lifetime earnings.
On Wednesday at Hoosier Park, B CONTEMPORARY (Pegasus Spur-B Over Soon-Overcomer), bred and raised by Hickory Lane Farm, crushed his rivals in a leg of the Future Stars Series Late Closer by 6 1/4 lengths in a lifetime best mark of 1:57.4 for owners Kimberly Dailey and Paul Thiesing of Ohio.
